# SEO Tech List controlled audit — 29 September 2026

These are actual reports from an intentionally faulty synthetic site, not customer data. The separate Mydentify run inspected our public guide. This is not a speed or overall accuracy benchmark.

## Inputs and versions

- Node.js 20+ for fixture, Sitemap Cohort Auditor and Mydentify. Native tools tested on macOS arm64.

Save fixture.mjs, before.xml and after.xml in one directory. Run `node fixture.mjs` in a terminal and keep it open. The server only binds to 127.0.0.1:4319. Stop it with Ctrl+C after the checks. No paid API is needed.

Extract the official SiteOne and lychee binaries, and use their paths in the commands below or put them on PATH. Extract the Sitemap Cohort Auditor v0.2.2 package into `package/`; use its included CLI without additional dependencies. Pin the release: development HEAD has a different interface.

For the separate live run, extract Mydentify v1.1.4, change to its source directory and run:

That saved result is from 2026-09-29T01:43:12.931Z. Future live responses may differ. User-agent probes from our machine do not verify provider IP access, indexing or citations.

## Expected observations

- SiteOne: 11 resources, 8 HTTP 200, 1 HTTP 301, 2 HTTP 404. Missing title, duplicate titles, missing description and noindex reported. Exit 0.
- lychee: 27 link occurrences, 3 errors (missing page, missing image, missing fragment). Exit 2 is expected because the fixture is broken. This invocation takes explicit input pages; it is not a recursive site crawl.
- Sitemap Cohort Auditor: 6 entries, 5 unique URLs, 1 duplicated URL, 1 invalid lastmod, 3 additions and 1 removal. Exit 0 without a failure policy. It does not fetch listed pages.
- Mydentify: page and robots HTTP 200; 6 policies allowed and 6 user-agent probes HTTP 200. Separate public-page test.

No JavaScript rendering, authenticated content, large-site throughput, provider IP or search-outcome testing was performed. SiteOne also reports environment findings caused by loopback HTTP (for example hostname/HTTPS checks). They are not production findings.

## Publication and sanitization

Reports preserve measured results. Workstation/installation paths have been replaced with neutral placeholders; sitemap source paths are relative filenames. Timings and local paths will differ on rerun. No private-site data or credentials are included. We did not publish the generated SiteOne HTML report.

The fixture and XML inputs are made available under the MIT license by SEO Tech List (2026); tool licenses remain their respective authors’. You may reuse the published results with attribution to the article and the tested versions. No vendor paid for or reviewed this test.
